The First China Behavioral and Experimental Economics Forum Held at ZUFE

On April 14, the First China Behavioral and Experimental Economics Forum (China BEEF) was held at Xiasha campus of ZUFE. The forum invited Professor Jinchang Li, Secretary of the Party Committee of ZUFE, Professor Shihao Sheng, party secretary of the Provincial Federation of Social Sciences, and Professor Xiahui Liu, executive associate editor ofEconomic Research Journalto attend the opening ceremony and deliver speeches. More than 100 experts and scholars from domestic well-known universities and colleges, scientific research institutes and press and publication institutions also presented in this forum. The ceremony was hosted by Professor Xinbo Lu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of ZUFE.

Professor Ninghua Du of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Professor Xianghong Wang of Renmin University of China, and Professor Hang Ye, chief expert of the Center for Economic Behavior and Decision-making(CEBD) of ZUFE, respectively made keynote speeches on the topics of "Behavior Contract Design", "Relative Income in Behavioral Economics", and "Theoretical Construction: The Mission of Behavioral Economics".

Participants discussed and exchanged their ideas on topics as "Individual Behavioral Decision-making", "Behavioral Game Experiment", "Market Design Experiment", "Field Experiment" and "Behavioral Finance".

This forum was co-sponsored by the editorial department ofEconomic Research Journaland ZUFE. It aimed to step up the adoption and development of behavioral and experimental economics in China by building a high-end academic exchanging platform on the frontier issues of Chinese behavioral and experimental economics. These measures contribute to demonstrate the achievements and strengths of Chinese behavioral and experimental economics and promote exchanges and cooperation in various fields of behavioral and experimental economics.
