On May 16, the seminar on "Accounting for the Asset Value of Farmland Resources and the Transformation of Arable Land Protection" was held in Xiasha campus of ZUFE. Qingri Wang, executive editor of the Editorial Department of China Land Science and Professor Kuiquan Wang, also vice president of ZUFE, attended this meeting and respectively delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. Present at this conference were more than 50 experts and scholars from universities, scientific research institutes, government departments, enterprises and institutions all over the country. Shaohua Wu, dean of the Land and Urban-Rural Development Institute, presided over this meeting.

Centered around themes of "accounting for assets of farmland resources and transformation of arable land protection", the participants had an in-depth discussion over such heated topics as accounting methods for arable land resources assets, management of "non-food" farmland, emission peak and carbon neutrality, comprehensive regional land consolidation and transformation of ecological protection system of the arable land.

This seminar will greatly enhance the achievements of the exchanges and applications in the accounting of China's farmland resources assets and protection and transformation of cultivated land in the new era, and also provide guidance for the construction of the think tank platform for urban and rural land policies and the discipline of Land Resources Management.
