2021 National Public Finance and Taxation Forum for College Students Held at ZUFE

Recently, the 2021 National Public Finance and Taxation Forum for College Students, themed “Common Prosperity”, was held at ZUFE’s Xiasha Campus. The forum received dozens of academic papers from universities across China. After anonymous review, oral defense conducted online in response to the COVID-19 prevention and control, and professional review, one grand prize, two first prizes, and three second prizes were selected from the undergraduate groups and the postgraduate groups respectively.

ZUFEers gave a good performance. Among the undergraduate groups, The Third Phase of the Golden Tax Project, the Income Gap within a Business and Common Prosperity: Discovery from Listed Companies by Luo Siwen and Yang Sheng was awarded the grand prize; Influences of the Fairness of Public Medical Services on Resident Income Distribution Gap–Based on Provincial Panel Data co-authored by Chen Yiyang, Chen Yuanjie, and Xie Chenyu, and How Small Towns Complete the Employment Ecosystem for Talents in the Context of Common Prosperity written by Liu Shubei, Chen Yanjun, and Huang Yike were granted the first prize. Among the postgraduate groups, Research on Market Segmentation under the New Development Pattern–From the Perspective of Tax Competition written by Mao Jiaying and Meng Lei was conferred the first prize.

Since its foundation in 2005, the forum has aimed to apply knowledge to practical needs, conduct innovative research, and exchange and spread academic achievements. Moreover, it has taken hot topics about public policy into consideration, proposing various themes with realistic significance. In the future, the forum will continue to keep up with the times, explore modes for inter-school cooperation, and cultivate more high-quality and high-level talents in the field of public finance and taxation research.
