From March 26 to 27, the first "Development and Sharing" Forum jointly hosted by Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics (ZUFE) and Zhejiang University was held online. More than 500 experts and scholars from the academic and journal communities exchanged ideas and discussed the theme of "Toward Common Prosperity in the New Journey: Connotation, Status Quo, and Prospects". ZUFE CPC Secretary Li Jinchang attended the forum and delivered a speech.
Li Jinchang proffered his congratulations to the forum on behalf of ZUFE, and extended a warm welcome and thanks to all the distinguished guests. He pinpointed that the forum will definitely further inspire theoretical thinking, generate sparks of ideas, and promote research in areas related to common prosperity. ZUFE will take this forum as an opportunity to further boost exchange and cooperation with domestic sister institutions and research institutes, continuously improve the strength and level of schooling, and make greater contributions to Zhejiang for blossoming into a pioneering province of socialist modernization and building a demonstration area of common prosperity with high quality.
Lu Mai, Secretary General of China Development Research Foundation, Zhang Jun, Dean of School of Economics, Fudan University, Zhang Junsen, Dean of the School of Economics, Zhejiang University, Zhang Xiaobo, chair professor of Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, and Li Yongyou, distinguished professor of Changjiang Scholars of the University, respectively gave lectures entitled "Why Has China's Labor Income Share Shifted from Down to Up?," "Some Challenges of Common Wealth in Educational Perspective: Education Resource Allocation and Policy Intervention," "Industrial Clusters, MSMEs and Common Wealth," and "A Clue to Understanding China's Economic Development: Land".
Chen Zhigang, international director of the China Rural Development Institute of Zhejiang University, Lu Ming, distinguished professor of the Antai School of Economics and Management of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, He Wenjiong, professor of the School of Public Administration of Zhejiang University, Liu Peilin, vice president of the Institute of Sharing and Development of Zhejiang University, and Wang Zhengxin, Dean of the School of Economics of our university, held roundtable discussions on the themes of "Promoting common prosperity from the perspective of agricultural and rural development," "The significance of market-oriented reform of production factors for common prosperity," "Actively promoting the equalization of basic public services and solidly advancing the process of common prosperity," "Paying attention to the human capital element in the process of common prosperity," and "Practical experience of Zhejiang in solidly promoting common prosperity."
In the parallel forum, experts and scholars made paper reports and comments on topics such as income distribution, rural development, poverty, social security and basic public services, technological progress, and ecological environment.
