2022 National Business Simulation Contest Final

Recently, the 2022 National Business Simulation Contest Final was held at ZUFE's Xiasha Campus, hosted by the Decision Simulation Committee of the Chinese Academy of Management and organized by our university. Dong Jincai, member of the CPC Committee and Vice President of the university, Liao Bo, Deputy Director of the Higher Education Department of the Provincial Education Department, Wu Yingce, Director of the Business Development Department of China Association of Higher Education, Ge Jing, Secretary General of Business Administration Professional Instruction Committee of Ministry of Education, Wang Ping, Director of Office of Secretariat of National MBA Instruction Committee, Shi Yong, Co-Chairman of China Management Modernization Research Association, Zhou Yongyi, Deputy Secretary General of Joint Association of National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Higher Education, etc. attended the opening ceremony of the contest. The final of the competition was held in a combination of online and offline modes, with the offline main venue of the opening ceremony located in our university.

On behalf of ZUFE, Dong Jincai congratulated the holding of the competition, expressed his gratitude to the leaders and guests who cared for and supported the contest, and introduced the basic situation of ZUFE. He said that the school would take this competition as an opportunity to combine theoretical teaching with practical application, integrate on-campus practical training with on-site practice, deepen the integration of industry and university, strengthen school-enterprise cooperation, and truly enhance the students’ business skills and employment competitiveness.

The competition was held with the latest version of BizWar (a business simulation software) to maximize enterprise value through business analysis, business decisions, and enterprise operations. Each team consisted of 3 contestants and 1-2 instructors. The contestants played the roles of general manager, financial manager, production manager, marketing manager, etc. to carry out business decision simulations. After the fierce competition, our school won two special prizes and one-second prize in the undergraduate group of the business operation track, and two first prizes in the business decision track (one each in the undergraduate and MBA groups), achieving the best results in history.

The National Business Simulation Contest aimed to test and demonstrate the results of the teaching reform of enterprise management in colleges and universities and the quality, knowledge, and ability that students should possess to work in enterprise management, which was of great significance to promote the combination of management theory and practice and cultivate students' sense of competition and teamwork spirit.
