Recently, Chai Zhixian, dean of ZUFE School of International Education and Studies, led a delegation of three to visit Hungary and Austria for a one-week exchange visit to further enhance ZUFE's international influence overseas and build the study abroad program. The delegation aimed to seek partners for international education exchange and cooperation in the Central European region, and expand new enrollment channels.
The delegation was invited to attend the "Hungarian University Presidents Alliance -2023 Hungary-China Education Cooperation Forum". The forum was held at the University of Debrecen and the National Public Service University, attended by representatives from 20 Hungarian universities of the Rectors' Union such as University of Debrecen, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, University of Széchenyi István, Budapest University of Economics and Public Management, Budapest Business School, as well as several universities in China, such as Beijing Jiaotong University and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
During the forum, the delegation made introductions to foreign members mainly on the development, features and size of ZUFE, as well as its substantial achievements made in international exchanges and cooperation and education towards international students under the guidance of the idea of internationalized education. The introduction attracted representatives from Hungarian universities for further consultations and communications, and enlarged ZUFE's influence overseas. During the visit, the delegation addressed in multiple information session targeting at Hungarian students, providing a detailed information of ZUFE's location, disciplinary development, talent cultivation, international exchange and cooperation, as well as its distinctive majors, scholarship policies, admission requirements, and application channels. Meanwhile, the delegation explained the enrollment policies and application channels of the scholarships provided by ZUFE and Zhejiang Province, and extended warm welcome to the Hungarian students to study in ZUFE.
Moreover, the delegation visited several famous universities such as Johann von Neumann University, Debrecen University, Budapest City University, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Budapest Business School, and Vienna University of Modur. The delegation conscientiously studied the practices and experiences of international education of these universities and exchanged ideas on further strengthening teacher-student exchanges and scientific research collaborations.
This visit has played a positive role in expanding the enrollment channels for international students, building the study abroad brand, and promoting the internationalization of education in ZUFE.
