On May 13, the sixth China Economist Forum co-sponsored by Zhejiang Federation of Humanities and Social Sciences Circles (ZJFHSSC), Sun Yefang Economic Science Foundation (SYESF), and ZUFE was held at ZUFE's Xiasha campus. The forum was themed on "Innovative Practice of Chinese Modernization". Jiang Xiaojuan, president of China Society of Industrial Economics, professor of University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and director of the Award Committee of SYESF, Li Keping, former vice chairman and managing director of China Investment Corporation, Liu Shouying, secretary of the Party Committee and dean of the School of Economics of Renmin University of China, Sheng Shihao, chairman of ZJFHSSC and standing member of CPPCC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, Li Zhongfei, chair professor of Southern University of Science and Technology, Yang Zhiyong, vice president of National Academy of Economic Strategy, Zhang Tao, executive dean of the School of Economics of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Xue Xiaohe, secretary general of SYESF, Chen Xianchun, vice chairman of ZJFHSSC, members of ZUFE leading body including Li Jinchang, Zhong Xiaomin, Li Zhanrong and Lou Danqun, and heads of relevant functional departments and representatives of the faculty and students attended the forum. He said that in recent years, China Economist Forum had received widespread attention from various sectors of society, and its achievements had made great contributions to promoting theoretical studies and practical work, which provided an important platform for academic exchanges on Zhejiang experience. Strongly holding the characteristics of the era, this forum focused on the theme of "Innovative Practice of Chinese Modernization", summarized the experience and advanced practices adopted by Zhejiang Province to achieve Chinese modernization, demonstrated the progressiveness, openness and vitality of Chinese modernization from the provincial level, and offered valuable suggestions on promoting Chinese modernization through high-quality development.

Li Jinchang, secretary of ZUFE's Party Committee, pointed out that this year coincided with the 20th anniversary of the "Double-Eight Strategy" (the strategy of "making full use of eight advantages and implementing eight major measures"). During the forum, Jiang Xiaojuan, Li Keping, and Liu Shouying signed their own representative works and gifted them to the Library of Sun Yefang Prize in Economic Science, and accepted ZUFE's appointment letters of course consultants of "Sun Yefang Prize in Economic Science and China's Economic Development". Xue Xiaohe and Lou Danqun jointly unveiled the "Integrated Ideological and Political Education Base for Universities, Middle Schools, and Children" at the Library.
This forum would collect good advice and policies conducive to promoting the development of Chinese modernization to continuously boosting and invigorating the innovation and practice of Chinese modernization.
Being held for six consecutive sessions, the China Economist Forum aims to build a high-end academic exchange platform for an in-depth exploration of cutting-edge issues relevant to China's economic and social development, and the review and summary of the experience of local reform practice. From May 13 to June 10, this forum will be presented in four sub forums themed on the "Double-Eight Strategy and Chinese Modernization", "Chinese Modernization Monitoring and Evaluation", "Local Finance and Chinese Modernization" and "Local Public Finance and Chinese Modernization".
