On November 22, ZUFE held the 5th International Youth Scholars Forum. Over 50 outstanding young scholars from prestigious universities worldwide participated in the forum,which was conducted in a hybrid format, synchronizing both online and offline sessions. The opening ceremony saw the attendance of Dong Jincai, a member of ZUFE's Party Committee and Vice President of ZUFE and Lou Danqun, a member of ZUFE's Party Committee and Head of the Organization Department and the United Front Work Department of the CPC Committee of ZUFE, as well as heads of relevant departments and schools.
On behalf of ZUFE, Dong Jincai welcomed the visiting scholars and shared an overview of the university’s history, current developments, and future vision. He emphasized the university's commitment to the strategy of "invigorating the university through talents", focusing on attracting, gathering, and utilizing talent with an open-minded approach. ZUFE firmly believes in "employing talent to its fullest potential, achieving excellence in every endeavor, and entrusting responsibilities to capable individuals to ensure success". Aspiring to become a "distinctive first-class university of finance and economics", ZUFE remains dedicated to attracting talent with promising career prospects, nurturing talent with care, valuing talent with sincerity, and retaining talent with excellent services. It mobilizes resources throughout the university to provide a robust platform for outstanding individuals to pursue their ambitions and creates a conducive ecosystem for their growth and development.
At the opening ceremony, heads of the Office of Discipline Construction, the Office of Research Affairs, and the Office of Human Resources respectively introduced ZUFE's discipline development, research systems, and talent policies. In the main forum, Professor Ma Zujun, a recipient of the Ministry of Education's "Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University", Professor Chen Yuangao, Provincial "Ten Thousand Talents Plan" Youth Top-notch Talent and Director of the International Office and the Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, and Researcher Huang Wenli, Provincial "Ten Thousand Talents Plan" Youth Top-notch Talent and Executive Dean of the China Academy of Financial Research, delivered keynote reports.
This forum hosted 12 sub-forums, where participants engaged in academic discussions and exchanges on key and trending research areas within various disciplines. By the end of the forum, nearly 50% of the scholars had reached preliminary agreements with the university’s schools regarding potential recruitment.
In recent years, ZUFE has been actively advancing its "invigorating the university through talents" strategy. Using the International Forum for Young Scholars as a platform, ZUFE facilitates academic sharing and showcases achievements through keynote reports, academic discussions, and talent negotiations. This initiative fosters interdisciplinary exchange and collaboration, providing solid talent support for the university’s development.
