Institute of Land and Urban-rural Development (ILUD), oriented to the discipline of land resources management, is characterized by public management discipline, an interdiscipline of Natural Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences and Engineering Sciences. ILUD consists of six research centers, namely Land Big Data Center, Land Ecology Center, Urban and Rural Spatial Governance Center, Sustainable Development Center, and Natural Asset Management Center. Focusing on the needs of national economic construction and aiming to keep up with leading scientific development of the world, ILUD lays its research emphasis on exploring theoretical and actual problems of fundamental or prospective significance arising in the urban-rural development. Relying on extensive international and domestic cooperation and taking advantage of innovative platform construction, ILUD is working to build a high-end think-tank. Currently, the Institute possesses a scientific and research team with unique strength in complementary majors of its members, among whom there are 21 full-time researchers (including 4 professors and 6 associate professors), one administrative worker, and one laboratory technician. ILUD boasts 2 second-level provincial "New Century 151 Talents", 1 provincial "Young and Middle-aged Experts with Outstanding Contributions", 1 "Local Legislation Expert Backup of Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress", 1 Type-C talents of "Qianjiang Talent Plan"of Zhejiang province, and 4 ZUFE excellent young teachers. With active participation in international academic conferences and the building of international co-construction platforms, ILUD is now playing a significant role both at home and abroad.
