Founded in September 2018, one of the first batch of new type key professional think tanks in Zhejiang Province--“China Research Institute of Government Regulation and Public Policy” (hereinafter referred to as “Think Tank”) is based on the China Government Supervision and Research Institute of Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics. Its predecessor is the former “Research Center for Government Regulation and Public Policy”, a key research base for philosophy and social sciences in Zhejiang Province established in 2006. After long-term cultivation and continuous development, it has evolved into a think-tank type research institute specializing in the government supervision theory and policy studies.
The Think Tank mainly focuses on the major theoretical and practical issues in the public sphere of economic and social development in Zhejiang province as well as in China, andcarriesoutresearchon strategic, future-oriented and targeted decision-making consultation with an aim to promote the modernization of the national governance system and governance capacity.
Research focuses in this Think Tank include the following: research on public utility regulation and public policy, research on urban governance and regulatory policy, research on industrial regulation and public policy, research on market regulation and public policy, research on environmental regulation and public policy, research on food, drug regulation and public policy, etc.
